In brief

A short checklist for assessing the source, date and verification limits behind a claim.

A review is only as useful as the evidence, date and limitations it makes visible.

Identify who published the source

A company page, an official register and an independent explanation are different kinds of evidence. We identify the source type and whose statement a claim represents.

Check the date and version of the terms

Bonus, payment and usage terms can change. A publication date alone is not enough; read the last checked date and, where available, the version of the terms.

Do not treat missing information as a conclusion

Being unable to access a record is not, by itself, positive or negative evidence. Uncertainty should be marked clearly and definitive claims avoided.
